Identification of minerals in biological samples
The lab of the National Institute for Silicosis carries out the mineralogical characterization of biological samples (kidney stones, lung biopsies, bronchoscopies, etc.) by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), a technique that allows to identify the different crystalline phases present in the sample.
