Occupational hygiene and environmental pollution studies
From its inception, the National Institute for Silicosis has carried out medical and technical studies in the areas of occupational hygiene and environmental health, focusing mainly on the prevention of respiratory pathologies. These studies, most of them performed by the Technical Department, have spread their field of activity and have carried out researches in other areas within occupational hygiene, not only related to respiratory health.
The development of practical studies makes the National Institute for Silicosis an institution with a unique experience by combining theory, research experience, as well as practical knowledge.
